Circuit diagram of a MODEM

MODEM is a device which used to modulate and demodulate the signal. The explained format of MODEM is Modulator Demodulator. These IC's are necessary to design a MODEM. The connection methods is also shown in the circuit. The necessity of the IC's which are used in the MODEM circuit are explained as follows. At first, the important IC is the 8 bit Microcontroller IC 8031 used here. It is a high powered single chip computer IC with 40 pin DIP. There is no embedded application without a mIcrocontroller. The 74HC573 is a latch IC, used to hold the datas from the Microcontroller. The MAX 232, and MAX 202E IC's are line drivers/receivers are designed for RS-232 and V.28 communications.
