This Project ?Automatic Night Lamp with Morning Alarm? was developed using Microprocessor. It is the Heart of the system. The sensors are made with help of LDR which are Light Dependent Resistors, whose Resistance is inversely proportional to the Light falling on it.
The LDR converts the light energy into electrical energy and this variable electrical energy was converted into digital signal (0 or 1) by using the timer IC555. The Timer IC output goes low when light falls on the LDR and the timer IC output goes high when the LDR was placed in dark.

All the projects published here should be connected to the 8085 microprocessor trainer kit.
For the connector details please visit http://www.8085projects.info/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=228

In the program of ?Automatic Night Lamp with Morning Alarm? how in BSR MODE 60H code switch on the music and switch off the light?
AND As according to the details of CON1- 17th pin is PC0(LSB) and 24th pin is PC7(MSB),(MSB)01100000(LSB) and in the circuit diagram of project pins 24 to 20 has no connection, so how come the status of buzzer and light are changing?

In this program how is LED and ALARM both getting OFF by 20H??
We have studied in BSR mode only one bit can change at a time.
And in which mode is 555timer working?
if it is in monostable then isn't a capacitor missing at pin 6?

The devices are not connected in BSR mode.
The IC 555 is connected in comparator mode

When a logic 1 is fed to the base of the transistor, then it conducts and the LED is switched on
When a logic 0 is fed to the base of the transistor, then it does not conducts and the LED will be switched off

when logic 1 is fed to transistor, then the LED will conduct.... but in the beginning of the program to switch off both LED and alarm 0 is given to switch off the light, that's okay....but 1 is given at 22 to switch off LED,so is that right???

Sorry there is a correction in the circuit,
Connect the cathode of the LED directly to the port. Look up the circuit diagram now

No you cant connect it directly to the port. Use a transistor at the output.

I started the project today..but it did not work, only the lamp glowed, that is, it was not taking the morning part.I couldn't understand the delay part too....what is stored at FFFF which is loaded in HL registers??also, why is 09 loaded in "A"??and finally why is 0005 called, there is no statement there?

0019 4113 0E 14 MVI C,14H ;call delay routine for 10sec
0020 4115 2A FF FF SEC: LHLD 0FFFFH
0021 4118 3E 09 MVI A,09
0022 411A CD 05 00 CALL 0005

CALL 0005 is used to call a monitor function of the trainer kit. WHich company trainer kit you are using. There will be some inbuilt functions for delay, Reading keyboard, displaying data on the LED display and so on.

Also check the port addresses of the trainer kit you are using.
