Digital visitor counter is a reliable circuit that takes over the task of counting Number of Persons/ Visitors in the Room very accurately. When anybody enters into the Room then the Counter is Incremented by one and when any one leaves the room then the Counter is Decremented by One. The total number of Persons inside the Room is displayed on the seven segment displays.
The microprocessor do the above job it receives the signals from the sensors, and this signals operated under the control of software which is stored in the Memory. The sensors are made with help of LDRs which are Light Dependent Resistors, whose Resistance is inversely proportional to the Light falling on it. The Laser Torch is used as the Light source and it is focused on the LDRs, the Microprocessor continuously watches the LDRs.

You have five torch bulbs and you have to switch them as per the given truth -table (change state with a two second delay). A zero in the truth-table indicates that the bulb is OFF and a one indicates that the bulb is ON 2. After truth-table the cycle is repaeted i.e., after the last state ( 1 1 1 1 1) the next state will be (1 1 0 0 1) 3. The torch bulb used must operate within the voltage range 1.5V to 9V Rules:- 1. Use of microcontrollers and microprocessors is NOT allowed. 2. Use of mechanical/electro-mechinical parts any where in the circuit is NOT allowed. Judging critarion: 1. To experiement you can use LEDs instead of torch bulbs. 2. You can use the following ICs flip-flops, counter, timer(555) 3. You can use "transistor as a switch". 4. If the inner state delays are fixed then you can design it with IC555 as a clock generator and its output is fed to a 23state counter for each counter output you can use diodes to get the desired output.
But for variable delays you should need seperate clock for each outputs.

All the programs published here are should be entered through the trainer kit. You cant connect displays directly to the 8085 only through 8255 is possible. all the inputs and outputs should be connected to the 8085 through 8255 PPI.
